Rialto to Host Arkansas Sculptors Guild Annual Event

The Arts Council of Conway County has announced its first two-day show and sale of sculpture work created by artists from throughout the state of Arkansas. The event will be held in the Gallery at the Rialto Community Arts Center on Saturday, February 21st and Sunday, February 22nd from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. both days. The show is an annual event co-sponsored by the Arkansas Sculptors Guild. It is usually held in Little Rock's River Market district, but Arts Council President Bill Stacks says the sculptors thought the Rialto Gallery would be a better location.  During the event the public will have the chance to purchase art directly from the artists. David Frazier from Bigelow is among the sculptors who plan to participate, along with approximately a dozen others from various parts of the state. Stacks says a preview party will be held in the Gallery on Friday, February 20th, from 6:00-9;00 p.m. by special invitation for major supporters of the Arts Council and the Rialto. Tickets will also be available at the door for $12 per person for others who wish to attend. Funds will be used to help offset the cost of the event. Admission to the show is free to the public on Saturday and Sunday. Information on other upcoming events at the Rialto can be found online at www.rialtoartscenter.com.
